Dr. Castellon, a native of Nicaragua, obtained his dental degree at the University of Guadalajara, Mexico in 1996. He then completed a three-year Prosthodontic Certificate Program at the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in July 2000. He subsequently completed a one-year Fellowship program in Aesthetic and Implant Dentistry at LSU.
He remained at the LSU School of Dentistry achieving the faculty level of Associate Professor with Tenure in the Department of Prosthodontics where he was Director of the Implant Clinic and Undergraduate Dental Implant Curriculum. He is currently teaching part time at the LSU School of Dentistry Pre-doctoral and Post-doctoral Prosthodontic residency program.
Dr. Castellon is section editor of the Quintessence Dental Technology Journal (QDT) and a member of the Editorial Review Board of the Quintessence International Journal (QI). His main fields of interest are Prosthodontics, including Complete and Partial Dentures, Crown and Bridge, treatment of Cosmetic and Aesthetic problems via veneers, all-ceramic restorations and bleaching. Dr. Castellon uses multiple techniques to restore and rehabilitate dental implants to replace single and multiple teeth. His publications as well as lectures are focus on Dental Implants.
Dr. Castellon holds memberships in several professional organizations including the American College of Prosthodontics, The Academy of Osseointegration, The American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and the Dallas County Dental Society.
